Fužine also has the name "small mountain riviera for a big vacation" in the jargon. And that's really so. This town is perfect for excursions and vacations: it has three lakes (Bajer, Potkoš and Lepenice), the Vrelo cave, the cowboy village of Roswell, numerous promenades along the lake and the surrounding hills, and incredibly delicious Gorski Kotar food. And one of the biggest advantages is excellent road connections and proximity to the sea. Fužine is located at 730 m above sea level and is a real oasis for escaping from the city crowds and summer heat, for all those looking for peace in nature or an active vacation.

Some of the options for an active vacation:

Walking, cycling and hiking. There are nine marked hiking and cycling trails in the area, and one of the most popular options is a walk to the Preradović viewpoint, which offers a beautiful view of Fužine and Lake Bajer. There are also more serious hiking ventures in the area – the peaks of Bitoraj (1385 meters), Viševica (1428 meters) and Tuhobić (1106 meters).

A tour of the cave, where even concerts are held, lasts no more than half an hour, and is visited by more than 25 thousand people a year.

All three lakes are otherwise rich in fish and are popular destinations for fishermen, and water sports enthusiasts will also be satisfied - sailing regattas and diving competitions are held there.

The youngest visitors to Fužine should enjoy the nearby Forest Fairy Tale picnic area, OPG Zeleni san, and near Fužine there is also a Cowboy Village – City of Roswell, an artificial cowboy film town built for the purpose of filming a film about Winnetou and the Vrata adrenaline park.
